Record Turnaround

published on 24/08/2010

Leicester, August 2010.

The Project Sales team at Econosto UK received a highly complex enquiry for a high-quality range of gate, globe, check, ball and butterfly valves in sizes ranging from 1/2" to 16"  in April of this year.  Over 1100 valves needed to be sourced, received and specially finished to become part of a gas dehydration plant in Kazakhstan.  All the valves required painting and some required other modifications such as stem extensions and fitting of actuators. In additon, they needed to be on a fast-track delivery to the customers design and fabrication facility in the UK to enable them to build the final package. Fortunately, our wide range of brands and massive stocks meant Econosto UK already had over 70% of the required items in stock or available on short lead times from our group companies, allowing us to steal a march on our competitors.

The remaining items were sourced quickly by our skilled project sales engineers and once the order hit the desktop in June, testing and modifications to the valves were quickly underway.

By the end of July the first consignments were being shipped which made this the fastest turnaround  in memory for an order of this size and complexity.
